World Autism Awareness Day 23

World Autism Awareness Day is today and we are proud to support it!

The day aims to celebrate people living with autism around the world. Not all disabilities are visible and the goal is both to help expand understandings around autism, and push to make the world friendlier to those affected by it.

Many Advance customers are affected by autism. These include Oliver who moved into an Advance Housing and Support scheme in Windsor. When he moved in, he didn’t speak at all, now he is able to express himself and talk about things he wants to do or not. He has been working as a volunteer in the charity shop.
