Vaccine roll-out
Many of our staff have committed to get the vaccine as soon as they can so they are able to work safely and continue providing a great service to customers.
Area Manager Ade, said: "I felt comfortable in taking the vaccine as I have had to take so many other vaccines when I travel abroad."
Among the first of our customers to be called in to have the vaccine, customer Betty was over the moon.
"I'm looking forward to the virus going away then things can get back to normal."
Betty was accompanied to the vaccination centre by Support Worker, Ilona.
"Betty and I discussed what was going to happen beforehand using easy read guides so there were no surprises and she knew what to expect. At the vaccination centre, everything was very well organised and straightforward. There was social distancing and we all felt safe. We were in and out really quickly. Betty had a big smile on her face for the rest of the day."
We expect all Support services will be contacted locally offering it to staff and customers over the coming weeks and months. All staff will be able to access it as part of the wider NHS rollout to the general public and we will make information available on out intranet and website as soon as we get it.
