Celebrations in Boston

Customers at Joy Paine Close recently celebrated 20 years of providing support with a fun day involving staff, customers and their families.

Customers were involved in planning the celebrations and decided on a fun day to try and raise money to buy some new garden furniture for their communal garden.  Cakes were made and sold, and there was a tea, coffee and sandwich stall.  There were also stocks where customers and staff had a great time throwing wet sponges at one of the service managers.  Over £200 was raised on the day and great fun was had by staff, customers and their families.

It was a double celebration as Advance has been providing support services in Lincolnshire for 20 years and in their recent CQC inspection received a `Good’ overall rating. Feedback from the inspectors noted that:

*People told us staff were kind and caring
*People were respected, staff championed their privacy and dignity and encouraged their independence in all aspects of life.
*Staff were motivated to provide person-centred care based on people's choices and preferences. They were dedicated and praised for this by health and social care professionals
*People had the benefit of a service that was positive, inclusive and forward-looking.
Well done everyone and here's to 20 more years!
