Starts at Home Day 2018

We are proud to support 'Starts at Home' day. This important annual campaign by the National Housing Federation shines a spotlight on the vital difference supported housing makes to thousands of people every day.

In recent years we have supported the campaign by submitting case studies to be featured on the Starts at Home website and making contact with local MPs. In 2016 customers from our mental health services were featured discussing the possible impact of proposed funding cuts in a BBC news report along with Ian Gilders, Director of Housing. This year Robert Courts MP in Witney will be visiting two customers to show his support locally.

The Starts at Home campaign has influenced the government response to consultations on the future funding model for supported housing that was published this year. This provides assurance that housing associations will be able to continue providing and building vital homes and services that allow thousands of vulnerable people to live independent fulfilling lives.
