LDWeek23 - Panto Mash Up

We’re proud to support Learning Disability Week and help to bust myths about living life with a learning disability by showing some of the incredible things that our customers achieve every day.

Kieron had a lifelong dream to write and perform a play. He assembled a cast of friends to take part. Things were going well until the pandemic hit and the performance date had to be postponed. Undaunted, Kieron proceeded to organise zoom meetings for the readings. Once the lockdowns were over and the cast were able to meet again, a live performance was planned. This took place at St Paul’s Church Hall in Stoke Newington.

 ‘Panto Mash Up’ received a great response from a packed house. Donations from the audience were given to the Huddlestone Centre, an organisation which Kieron used to attend, and one which inspired him in his creative endeavours.

The play raised £480.00 in donations to the centre.
