Just Add Water!

As part of our 50^th anniversary celebrations, we’re running a year-long campaign – ‘Just Add Water’ –  to improve outdoor spaces and encourage more customers to get into gardening. 

We’re encouraging all of our customers to get into gardening in whatever way suits them. This could be tidying up your own garden or a communal garden; it could be planting some seeds indoors, on a balcony or in pots outside; or it could be learning some new gardening skills.

Whether you are an experienced gardener or fancy trying gardening for the first time, you can get involved in the competition.  We’ll be giving prizes for:

              Best garden

              Best transformation of an outdoor space

              Best indoor plant

              Best pots

              Best edible plant (vegetables, herbs, salads)

              Most improved gardener

To help EVERYONE join in, we’ve sent some seeds in the post to every customer as part of our 50^th anniversary information pack.  Look out for them – they should be arriving any time now!

About the competition

The competition launches TODAY (27^th June), and will run until September.

How to get involved:

• Start planting seeds, growing plants or planning your garden tidy up now.
• Take lots of pictures to show us what you’ve been doing and how your garden/ plants have been growing, or how you’ve transformed your outside space.
• Take your final pictures and send them to inclusion@advanceuk.org by 13^th September

Don’t forget you can ask your support worker, family or friends to help you get involved.

We’ll judge all the entries and give out some lovely prizes to the winners in September!  We’ll also post pictures of your work on our social media channels.
