Starts at Home: Bose's story
Starts at Home Day is a campaign celebrating supported housing and the positive impact it can have on thousands of lives.
Bose, an Advance Supported housing customer in London. After initially living alone, she moved into a different flat to share with her friend, Lisa. In the short video above she describes how writing and photographing 'lockdown stories' helped her to gain confidence and get involved in activities in the community. Supported housing is proven to be a successful and cost-effective way of supporting people with severe mental health needs, learning disabilities and many other needs to live full and meaningful lives in their communities.
