Worting Road in Basingstoke rated `Good' by CQC
We are delighted that our registered care home at Worting Road in Basingstoke has received a `Good' rating during an unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We are particularly pleased that the inspectors observed that customers were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives.
Advance's overall mission is to transform the lives of people with a disability or mental health condition by providing the best quality housing, support and employment services. We also want to enable our customers to live the lives they choose, achieve their personal goals, feel valued and know their voices are heard.
Inspectors also noted that medicines were managed safely and staff had training in medicines administration and were observed by the registered manager to assess their competence.
Customers at Worting Road are supported to access their local community every day and had regular clubs, meetings and activities they
engaged with and enjoyed. There was opportunity for people to go on holiday; recent destinations included North Wales and Corfu, both chosen by people living at the service. People were involved in planning their own care and support. Where possible people had signed their own care plans and drawn pictures of their goals or drawn pictures of the support they wanted from staff. Care plans were reviewed regularly and up to date.
Well done to all involved in supporting customers at Worting Road!
