The Regulator of Social Housing has today published the outcome of their in depth assessment of our governance and financial viability. The full report is available on their website here: https://bit.ly/2MmS2NS
We are pleased to have maintained our top rating for financial viability and that the regulator is assured that our financial plans are consistent with, and support, our financial strategy.
We are of course disappointed that our governance rating was reduced. Although we remain compliant overall with the regulatory requirements we do need to improve some aspects of our governance. We are currently developing an action plan to achieve the required improvements.
We have already commissioned an independent consultant to carry out a review of Governance and Board effectiveness. We will make any changes necessary to get our top rating back and will work closely with the regulator throughout. We are grateful to the regulator for their thorough review.
We are incredibly proud of the work we do to provide the best quality housing, support and employment services to people with a disability or mental health condition across England. We will continue with our plans to develop over 250 new homes by 2020/21 to transform more lives.
