Banbury service rated 'Good' by CQC
We are really pleased to announce that our supported living service in Banbury was rated `Good' in all categories during its recent CQC inspection. The service supports nine people in a supported living setting and in their own homes.
The inspectors noted, "People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives; the policies and systems at the service supported this practice. The registered manager was aware of the values and vision of the organisation and to ensure these were implemented into the service to ensure people achieved positive outcomes. Inspectors spoke to six customers and to one family member during their visit, noting that everyone receiving a service felt cared for and happy. Customers commented "I get on with all the staff. They are good at their jobs." and "All the staff are kind and help me if I am worried about anything."
Inspectors also spoke to registered manager, Louis Benfield, Area Manager, Faye Zarb and to three Support Workers. Support Workers commented "The good thing here is we respect people's choices."
Louis said "I am proud to lead an such outstanding staff team. I am proud of the great work staff do here. The result of the inspection and the positive comments from customers and families demonstrates the ways in which we are able to genuinely transform our customers' lives."
Area Manager, Faye said: “Dashwood is a fantastic service. This CQC result shows the commitment all our staff have to achieving positive outcomes for customers. It is also a testament to the good relationships developed within the service and across the wider organisation; sharing information, using policies, systems, training and customer engagement initiatives to build good practice and enhance our reputation.”
