Proud to support Learning Disability Week 2017

This week is Learning Disability Week. The purpose of the week is to raise awareness of the benefits of employing people with a learning disability.

Our customers have been telling us how Advance's Employment services have successfully supported many of them into work, or helped them to develop skills through supported business and volunteer placements.

Nancy was taken on as a Job Matcher in January, helping other customers with job searches. Her manager Anne-Louise said: 'Working with Nancy has been a pleasure. We have seen her confidence grow tremendously. She has built up excellent working relationships with her colleagues.'

Customer Joshua was also supported to find work. He said:' The self-confidence Advance gave me meant that I was offered a job in my chosen field. This has really helped me to grow further as an employee and become and independent person.'
