Highest rating retained

Advance has retained its high rating for Governance and Financial Viability in the latest stability check carried out by the Regulator of Social Housing.

This is excellent news, particularly in the context of many housing providers being downgraded due to financial pressures and an increasingly challenging operating environment.

This year, Advance has had to make some difficult decisions to ensure it continues to be a financially sound and sustainable business, and the Board has made a particular commitment to developing the organisation’s resilience which is reflected in its three- year Strategic Plan: Strong for the Future.

Speaking about the rating, Advance Chief Executive, Julie Layton, said:

“I’m pleased that we have been able to retain our G1, V1 rating.  It is an important signal for our customers, our partners and our funders that we are a sound, well run business.

“It isn’t easy delivering health and social care services in the current environment.  We have faced many challenges over the past few years, and there are more to overcome.  But we are committed to staying true to our Vision, to putting customers at the heart of everything we do and working together to find new solutions that mean we are able to continue supporting our customers now, and long into the future.”
