Most people who get support from our Employment Services Team are referred to us by a job centre. After being made redundant, Patrick took the initiative and called us direct.
Because of his visual impairment, he felt it would be difficult for him to find work. We were able to offer him a six-month Supported Business Placement on reception in one of our offices.
Through our Access to Work programme, we installed magnification software on his PC to assist Patrick with his duties. Our Advisors helped him to gain confidence within the role and in job applications and interviews.
