Sharon's birthday surprise

Support Manager, Tina and Support Worker Jackie decided to celebrate Sharon’s birthday with a special surprise this year. Sharon has been battling cancer since 2020. While it has been an emotional roller-coaster, Sharon has remained very positive and always has a smile on her face.

Jackie reserved a table at Kells café where Sharon goes every day for her breakfast. The girls at Kells Café decorated the table and gave her some flowers and a gift voucher. As Sharon has a love to Leicester City, Tina made her a Leicester City birthday cake, as she had never had one before. She was stunned. She couldn’t believe it. She was so happy. Tina made sure her favourite player, Jamie Vardy’s, number was on the cake. Jackie gave Sharon a memory book and had lots of photos put in it of their days out and of memories special to Sharon. Although Sharon has been on a difficult journey, she was able to forget some of her problems for a while and celebrate her birthday with a smile.
