Spending time outside
Spending time outside can be a great way to tackle loneliness and improve mental wellbeing. This year's Mental Health Awareness Week looks at different ways of tackling loneliness. Click here to find out more.
After a long time in hospital, Support Workers encouraged Sandra to take a trip to the park. She had previously preferred to stay indoors but Support Workers continued to suggest short outings. At the park, Sandra enjoyed sitting in the sun listening to music and dancing.
Following her trip to the park Sandra and her support team have been working on the garden and have asked her son to plant some vegetables.
Other ways to tackle loneliness include:
- Try to get enough sleep
- Think about your diet
- Try to do some physical activity
- Spend some time with animals
