Advance Employment

This is the logo for Advance Employment

Advance Employment has achieved ‘Preferred Bidder’ status as a Prime Contractor for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), for the specialist disability employment programme called Work Choice. We will be operating the programme across Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country.

This comes as a result of almost two years of preparation by Advance Employment, since the DWP withdrew the New Deal for Disabled People programme in 2008. We are one of only two new Prime Contractors who were successful throughout England, Wales and Scotland.

Work Choice is a new programme which replaces Workstep and Workprep. Advance Employment will hold the contract across the West Midlands region for all specialist employment services, and work with a wide range of partners or sub-contractors.

Our contract is based on our ability to establish and lead a partnership of voluntary sector employment specialists. The lead partner for the region is Landau; other partners include Wolverhampton and Birmingham City Councils, Rathbone, and specialist providers such as the Autistic Society.

Our Work Choice programme will go live in October and will be headed by the Director of Advance Employment, Simon Beasley.

If you would like further details about our Work Choice programe please use the form on this page. You can find out more about the Work Choice programme on the DWP website.

Advance has been providing specialist employment services for ten years - you can read about them on our Work-in-Progress pages.
